In addition to sports programs, I have also developed an after school games program called Game Masters that I have run at elementary schools throughout the Chicagoland area. When I was young, I always loved playing all sorts of board games and never realized how much I learned from playing them. Games like Scrabble, Monopoly, Chess, Risk, and Trivial Pursuit can help children improve their vocabulary, math skills, strategic thinking, problem solving, and in general, reinforce what they are learning in the classroom. This is all done while having fun playing a game. I use these classic games as well as some newer games such as Banagrams, Quoridor and others to help kids have fun while learning.
Aside from Game Masters, I am also in the process of developing an after school Improv/Drama program for kids. Improvisation is a fun form of acting/comedy that really strengthens the imagination and helps foster creativity. I myself have had formal training at Acting Studio Chicago and iO (Improv Olympic).
